HARAJUKU GALLERY
HARAJUKU GALLERY
At Harajuku Gallery, our mission is to share the timeless beauty of Japanese culture—such as ukiyo-e, hanging scrolls, and traditional fine art—with the younger generation and visitors from around the world.
During our travels across the globe, we came to realize that the works we once considered “old-fashioned” in Japan appeared strikingly fresh and extraordinary when seen abroad.
Hanging scrolls (kakemono) are often perceived as items meant only for a traditional tokonoma alcove, yet by re-mounting them in modern fabrics and adapting their form, they can harmonize beautifully with today’s interiors and contemporary lifestyles.
We aim to rediscover and express this inner beauty within Japan—pairing classical Japanese art with contemporary works, and presenting them in ways that resonate with modern sensibilities.
Our concept expands beyond art.
We believe that beauty can be lived—through interior design, fashion, and the everyday spaces that surround us.
With this vision, we opened our gallery here in Harajuku.
